Nismo’s motorsports press event has happened and it’s going to be another great year for the Japanese marque.
Firstly, Micra Cup is back for its fourth season!
As you may have also heard the new R35 GT3 car has also made its debut with a mryiad of new FIA safety features including the driver quick escape among other subtle updates. At the moment only two programs are confirmed: Gainer Engineering for Super GT GT300 class and a KCMG-affiliated effort for Blancpain GT Asia. Prospective European (and hopefully North American) involvement is to be announced in the coming weeks.
For the GT500 class Nismo retains the factory Nismo, Team Impul and Kondo Racing efforts however they are now joined by newly graduated B-Max Engineering with NDDP, who have previously contested the GT300 class. This is great news for those of us yearning to see a Chiyo-san vs Mardenborough scrap in proper machinery.
Other highlights for the upcoming motorsports program include factory commitments to the customer racing efforts globally as well as the existing engine supply programs in LMP3, IMSA DPi, and FIA LMP1 (ByKolles). More details regarding the Nismo Formula-E effort are to be unveiled at Geneva.

Other than safety, suspension, brakes and tires the Micra Cup cars are basically stock.
The March Nismo has already been a thing in other markets.
